New Delhi, July 20: Bollywood star Anil Kapoor has shared a quirky new number from his upcoming film ‘Fanney Khan’.

The 61-year-old took to Twitter to share the track, writing, “Jab sapna dekh hi liya hai, toh #AchcheDin ka bharosa bhi rakhiye! Please lend your ear to my favorite song.”

The song, titled ‘Mere Acche Din Kab Aaege,’ features a glum and defeated Anil, wondering when his life will turn around. The song has been composed and sung by Amit Trivedi with lyrics from Irshad Kamil and sings of the woes of the common man and his crushed dreams.

The previous two songs, Mohobbat and Halka Halka, were both rehashes of popular old songs, Jawan Hai Mohobbat (Anmol Ghadi, 1946) and Ustad Nursrat Fateh Ali Khan’s Yeh Jo Halka Halka Suroor Hai.

Fanney Khan is an official remake of 73rd Academy Awards nominee Belgian film Everybody’s Famous! The film is a one of its kind musical comedy, revolving around a father who wishes to fulfill his daughter’s dream of becoming a singer.

The film marks the reunion of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor after a gap of 18 long years. The duo was last seen together in the 2000 film ‘Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai’.

Directed by Atul Manjrekar and co-produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film also stars Rajkummar Rao. The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on August 3.
