Europe, April 11, 2017: At least four people have been injured after a major blast hit the city of Diyarbakir in Turkey’s Kurdish-dominated south-east on Tuesday.
The blast happened at a maintenance building belonging to the security forces in the southeastern city of Diyarbakir.
A large explosion took place in the provincial security directorate’s maintenance facility in Diyarbakir’s Baglar district while an armored vehicle was undergoing repairs. It said the blast caused part of a building to collapse.
Ambulances and police were immediately sent to the scene of the explosion, where thick smoke was seen rising into the air and rescue operations are still ongoing.
Till now, the cause of the explosion was uncertain.
