Madhya Pradesh, 22 Nov: The former Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav passed away in Lucknow in early hours on Tuesday.
90-year-old Naresh Yadav held the chief minister’s office of Uttar Pradesh in 1977, when Janata Dal came in majority. In September 2011, he was appointed as Madhya Pradesh Governor by the then UPA government.
However, he recieved a lot of critism after the infamous his name appeared in Vyapam scam of Shivraj Singh Chouhan government.
Yadav was granted immunity by courts from prosecution for his alleged role in the scam till he held the office of Governor in Madhya Pradesh.
Yadav’s body will be taken to his native town Azamgarh to perform his last rites.
