EVMs were rigged during 2014 elections: Claims US cyber expert

New Delhi, Jan 21: US-based cyber expert Syed Shuja on Monday made a sensational claim that the 2014 general elections in India were rigged.

While addressing a press conference at an event in London organised by the Indian Journalists’ Association (Europe), Shuja said “the 2014 election was rigged, actual results were completely different than what shown to world. And since then all polls have been rigged. There is a transmitter in the EVM chip.”

The cyber expert, who has designed EVMs used in India, stated the voting machines were hacked by the BJP using a modulator which transmits military-grade frequency.

Besides this, he claimed that late Maharashtra BJP leader and Union Minister Gopinath Munde was murdered and he was also aware of the EVM hacking.

Shuja also revealed that slain journalist Gauri Lankesh agreed to do a story on this issue, but she was killed.
