New Delhi, July 28: Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram on Saturday said that Shakti app will help engage booth level workers with the leadership.
While launching ‘Shakti App’ in Karnataka to establish a better coordination between the workers, supporters and the central leadership , Chidambaram said: “Party workers must first enroll people close to us, like our sons, daughters, our friends and immediate neighbours, that is the history of every party”.
“If at all, there will be a BJP-mukt Bharat and never a Congress-mukt Bharat. Project Shakti will help us strengthen the booths where it is weak. These days, it’s a booth wise election, we have to be strong in every booth,”he said.
“There is a little battle in every booth. You have to win every booth. We must have enough people present at all the booths. So, it is absolutely important to micromanage every booth of a constituency”, he added.
“Project SHAKTI will enable to continuously engage booth level workers with the leadership. It will help us understand the strength of our party in a particular booth. This project will be top priority for the Karnataka Congress”, KPCC President Dinesh Gundu Rao said.
‘Shakti App’ is being promoted aggressively for better communication between the leadership and the workers. The workers will be able to give their feedback, ideas on different issue to the central leadership.
To become a part of “Shakti app’: One has to send his voter ID number to the App on a designated phone number, following this he/ she would be added and would be able to access several other features.
