New Delhi, Dec 8 : Congress worker Jagdish Sharma, who was detained by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) earlier this morning, has been released by the investigating agency on Saturday evening.

He said, “ED pressurising me to name Robert Vadra.”

” I think since govt couldn’t prove the land scams against Robert Vadra, they are doing these things. I was pressurised and asked to name various people. I know Robert Sahab from last 25 years & he hasn’t done any wrong,” he said..

The ED conducted a raid at the residence of Sharma and took him to its office for questioning.

Hitting hit out at the Modi government, Senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal said that the government is using probe agencies for political vendetta and the evidence is the unlawful raids conducted by ED on Robert Vadra.

“What kind of govt is it? If law enforcement agencies start hooliganism then who will question them? If they’re supported by PM, who’ll question it? Where is the law & order in the country?” he questioned addressing a press conference in Delhi, “Sibal said.

Sibal argued that  the ED officials’ move to break into the premises when they were asked to wait for the keys. “ There was no FIR, ECIR against Vadra Ji and people of Enforcement Directorate reached his offices without any warrant. They don’t say their names and when asked to wait by the people in the office to get keys to the office, they broke into the office,” he said..
