New Delhi, Jan 31: A magnitude 6.1 earthquake has been reported in Afghanistan. Tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR, rest of northern India and Pakistan on Wednesday.
According to the US Geological Survey,” the quake hit at 0707 GMT near Afghanistan’s northern border with Tajikistan in the Hindu Kush mountains at a depth of 191 kilometres (119 miles)”.

A girl student died and nine others were injured when a school building and a house collapsed in Pakistan’s Balochistan province following an earthquake.
The Pakistan Met department said the quake measured 6.1 on the Richter scale with a depth of 179 km, the Nation newspaper reported.
