Delhi, July 7: A 29-year-old doctor was abducted by an Ola driver on Yesterday who boarded an Ola cab from Delhi’s Preet Vihar.
“After attending a birthday party in Noida, Srikanth Goud was returning to his house in south Delhi’s Gautam Nagar on July 6.
Goud’s friend dropped him at Preet Vihar Metro station around midnight from where he booked an Ola cab.
Soon, three other associates of the cab driver also boarded the car in the midway to Noida and threatened Goud to keep silent otherwise they will kill him.
The incident came to light after the kidnappers made the first ransom call the next day, but it was not to Goud’s family. They called Ola call centre and demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crore.
The criminals then made a call to the private hospital where Goud works. They asked the hospital management to put pressure on Ola cabs to fulfil their demand.
The kidnappers used Goud’s cell phone to evade police surveillance and even shot his videos and sent to his family, Times of India reported.
