New Delhi, March 20: The DMK on Monday Led by its Rajya Sabha member Kanimozhi called out a protest march in the national capital demanding early passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill.

The Bill provides 33 percent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and all state legislative assemblies.

“It remains a puzzle as to why the Women’s Reservation Bill has not been passed. It has been 20 years, why it has not become a law?” Kanimozhi told media persons here.

“We want to bring the focus back on the Bill because nobody is talking about it, not even the media,” she said.

“We call on all like-minded parties who support the Bill, to join our efforts,” she said explaining the march she was leading from Mandi House to Jantar Mantar.

Earlier on March 17, DMK Working President M.K. Stalin wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking to intervene for the passage of the Bill.
