Diwali Special: Stock markets to hold Muhurat trading session


Mumbai, Oct 18: Key Indian equity markets will hold a special “Muhurat” trading session to mark the beginning of Hindu New Year tomorrow. 

The annual one-hour session is scheduled to be held between 6.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. It takes place every year on account of Diwali Laxmi Pujan.

The session is considered to be prosperous and favorable for stock market trading. It is believed that the “Muhurat” trading on this day brings wealth and brightness throughout the year.

The session will mark the beginning of the Hindu New Year — Samvat 2074.
