Disabled victim of UP Minister’s jibes to meet CM Yogi

New Delhi, April 20: After UP minister mocked a disable sanitation worker in his office, the victim Dinesh Sharma has decided to meet Uttarpradesh Chief Minister to complain about Minister Satyadev Pachauri’s conduct.

Dinesh told media persons that he is severely hurt by what the minister said. He said, big people say anything and I want to tell this to CM.

He said I told the Minister that I am working here since 1999 and get Rs 4000 as salary. No one have ever complained about my work. He said, “Pachauri said if you hire such lame people on job, how would cleaning happen. I want him to prove that I am disable as doctor’s report says I am fit for my job.”

Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Minister Satyadev Pachauri on a surprise visit to the Khadi Gramodyog Board’s Office in the Dolly Bagh locality of Lucknow’s Dilbag area summoned all employees and asked them to accompany him during the inspection.

While mocking up abilities of the person even referred to PM’s flagship campaign of Swachch Bhart at the same time.

When he saw a disabled sanitation worker, he asked him about his role. He inquired if he was a permanent employee or a contractual worker. He even queried about his salary.

The minister reportedly said you hire crippled man for work (loole loole langro ko kaam pe rakha hai). He said, “How will a crippled person justify the work? If you recruit the lame and feeble, how will you achieve the Swachch Bharat mission?

He said all this in the presence of a CCTV camera. The disabled worker was only a mute spectator to the insults being fidgeted on him.

The video is making rounds across the social media but the defiant BJP minister has denied making any such remarks.

It is sad that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the nation to address disabled as specially-abled “divyang,” one of his own ministers disrespects and mocks a physically disabled government employee.
