New Delhi, April 13: After Election Commission broke an open challenge to prove EVM tampering, Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh on Thursday replied in a veiled attack on the poll panel.

In a series of tweets, Digvijay Singh said, “Those who are hacking are doing roaring business why should they expose themselves?”

“BJP and the Hackers are the only beneficiaries. No one kills a Golden Goose?” Singh tweeted.

After 13 Opposition parties raised alleged tampering of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in the recent assembly polls and demanded the use of VVPAT or paper record of vote to EC, the poll watchdog on Wednesday threw an open challenge to the party leaders.

EC dared political parties, scientists and technicians, to hack the voting machines and said they can prove the hacking from May first week.

After meeting EC, a 13-member delegation led by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi also met President Pranab Mukherjee and presented a memorandum to him in this regard.
