Bhopal, Sep 15: Inmates of a privately-run home shelter for disabled children on Friday accused its owner of sexually assaulting two girls and three boys.
The incident has been reported from the Bairgarh area and the shelter home also had a branch in Hoshangabad district.
The alleged victims and other inmates submitted a complaint to police on Friday.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Dharmendra Choudhary told media that police have received the complaint, and probe into the matter is underway.
According to the media reports, no FIR has been registered so far.
In the recent past, several incidents of sexual assault at a shelter home have been surfaced across the country.
Last month, a differently-abled girl was allegedly raped in Bhopal at a private run shelter home.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had also ordered monthly inspection of women’s hostels in the state after Muzaffarpur and Deoria shelter home case came into the limelight.
