Prime Minister Narendra Modi keeps on harping about following great leaders like Vallabhbhai Patel, Deen Dayal Upadhyay and Dr BR Ambedkar but unfortunately his actions are totally in the reverse direction.

Interestingly, after 22 years of their rule in the state, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP have suddenly started invoking the names of Vallabhbhai and Ambedkar for the sake of attracting votes from Patidars community and Dalits in Gujarat assembly elections.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi keeps on harping about following great leaders like Vallabhbhai Patel, Deen Dayal Upadhyay and Dr BR Ambedkar but unfortunately his actions are totally in the reverse direction. The Modi government is seen engaged in crediting the above mentioned leaders for their remarkable work but his own government has contributed nothing for the progress of India. Meanwhile, the neighbouring country China is making huge strides in socio-economic development, economy and military. India, on the other hand is cutting a sorry figure and instead is engaged in rewriting their history on hearsay’s and condemning achievements of their predecessors specially Congress Prime Ministers.

Surya Prakash, Chairman of Prasar Bharati Board has lauded Narendra Modi government for following Deen Dayal Upadhyay teachings and honouring Patel for territorial integration and Dr BR Ambedkar for social integration.

Upadhyay’s Raj dharma stood for free education, free healthcare, the right to food and right to work. But unfortunately the present government of Modi has miserably failed to provide even affordable education, healthcare to the common man, food to the needy and graph of joblessness is increasing on daily basis. For example the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, the Centrally-sponsored schemes is being poorly implemented in Jammu and Kashmir as there are around 562 primary schools and 154 upper primary schools that have zero enrollment.

Modi had unveiled a plethora of reforms for healthcare sectors but that exist only on papers, no such reform have been implemented so far. There have been many incidents that highlight the pathetic medical infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat where numerous children (30 kids in UP and 9 in Ahmadabad) have died in hospitals due to lack of oxygen supply and other factors.

Now, take the case of Gujarat elections where caste has emerged as a significant factor and might decide the fate of the assembly elections in December. It is pertinent to mention what make Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah invoke the names of Patel and Ambedkar at this juncture when BJP is facing a tough task in Gujarat assembly elections.

Modi invokes the legacy of India’s first home minister Sardar Vallabhai Patel to woo Patidars- or Patel-dominated Saurashtra region which accounts for as many as 52 assembly seats.Vallabhai Patel is seen as the tallest leader of the Patidar community as Patels’ constitute 14% of the state’s population. Rather raising Vallabhbhai Patel and Dr BR Ambedkar’s name shows BJP’s desperation to woo the Patels and Dalits in Gujarat .

The Patels’ who were staunch supporters of the BJP are now been disenchanted with theparty’s 22-year-long rule in Gujarat. And Dalits accuse Modi Government of unleashing d atrocities against their community by gau rakshaks etc.

Recently, Amit Shah has equated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing economic integration in India by implementing demonetisation and GST but the fact of the matter is Modi has disintegrated the country in the name of demonetisation, Gau Rakshaks, polarisation, love jihad,

Modi’s demonetisation and GST have brought poor farmers under the purview of tax, who are already unable to pay their debts and are instead compelled to commit suicides. Due to demonetisation and GST, the people below the poverty line and the middle class have been crushed brutally. Only, the rich and ultra rich community is not affected by Modi’s so called reforms.
