New Delhi, June 22: In a satirical tweet, Congress President Rahul Gandhi has congratulated Amit Shah, the BJP President and Director of Ahmedabad District Cooperative Bank (ADCB), for winning 1st prize after his Bank secured deposits of Rs 745.59 crore of the spiked notes – in just five days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the demonetisation announcement.
“Congratulations Amit Shah ji, Director, Ahmedabad Dist. Cooperative Bank, on your bank winning 1st prize in the conversion of old notes to new race. 750 Cr in 5 days! Millions of Indians whose lives were destroyed by Demonetisation, salute your achievement,” Congress chief tweeted.

Rahul Gandhi tweeted soon after Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala addressed press conference to reveal that Demonetisation is the biggest scam in the country since Independence which was deliberately imposed to convert black money into white.”
Congress challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah to publicly declare that how many assets of the saffron party has been acquired during this period and to disclose the source of the money.
While addressing the press conference, Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala attacked Prime Minister and BJP President, saying ” Demonetisation is the biggest scam of India since independence that was done deliberately to convert black money into white.”
Shah continues to be a director with the bank and has been in that position for several years. He was also the bank’s chairman in 2000. ADCB’s total deposits on March 31, 2017, were Rs 5,050 crore and its net profit for 2016-17 was Rs 14.31 crore.
