Demonetisation: Hospital denies Sadananda Gowda to release brother’s dead body

Bangalore, 23 Nov: The demonetisation is on its peak in affecting lives of people and the latest victim became the Union Minister DV Sadananda Gowda.

As the minister faced a trouble in retrieving his brother Bhaskar Gowda’s body who died on Tuesday as he was suffering from Jaundice.

It is learnt that when he was managing bills for the illness,a private hospital in Mangaluru refused to take demonetised notes.MangaluruHospital

When asked if he could pay by cheque, the hospital disagreed, media reports stated.

Later, Gowda received a written document signed by hospital authorities, stating that they would not accept demonetised notes. The hospital then agreed to accept the payment by cheque and release Bhaska Gowda’s body.

Bhaskar was admitted to the hospital in Mangaluru 10 days ago and was diagnosed with jaundice. He died after he failed to respond to the treatment.

Meanwhile, anxious Gowda has said that he will seek appropriate action against the hospital.
