Delhi Police chief Alok Verma has been picked to heda the Central Bureau Of Investigation. His name was picked by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.

Delhi Police chief Alok Verma has been picked to heda the Central Bureau Of Investigation. His name was picked by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.

He will have a tenure of 2 years. The 1979 batch IPS officer of the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory) cadre, had replaced BS Bassi as the police chief in February 2016. Before that, he had served as the Director General of Delhi’s Tihar jail.
