New Delhi, July 11: In a shocking incident, more than 15 kindergarten students of an all-girls school in Delhi’s Hauz Qazi area were allegedly locked up in the basement for not paying fees.

According to the reports, students were locked in the basement of  Rabea Girls’ Public School between 7:30 am and 12:30 pm in the heat without any food or water in the extreme heat.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has also sought a report on the issue.

One of the parents told media,”My 4-year-old daughter was punished by school authorities for not paying fees while fact is I have already paid for next 6 months.”

On the related note, a case has been registered and the police have begun to investigate the matter. Amid huge pressure from the parents, several school staff have been questioned by the police

However, the school authorities have allegedly denied the allegations.

“Basement is where the children play, there were 2 teachers watching them, they usually sit on the ground and the fan had gone for repair that day. The allegations are wrong”, Farah Diba, Head Mistress told ANI.
