New Delhi, Nov 2: The Patiala House Court on Friday granted bail plea to Ashish Pandey, son of former BSP MP Rakesh Pandey, who brandished a gun at a five-star hotel in the national capital.
This comes a day after, the police had filed chargesheet against him.
Ashish was seen brandishing a gun on October 14 in Delhi’s Hyatt hotel.
He surrendered in a court on October 18 and was arrested later.
Earlier on October 23, the Court had dismissed a bail plea of former BSP MP’s son.
He had also addressed the media to justify his stand and alleged that the entire incident was being reported in a biased way.
“The CCTV footage should be shown to clarify who entered the ladies’ washroom and who threatened whom,” said a subdued Ashish Pandey, speaking in Hindi.
“I accept I moved out of my car with a weapon (but) neither did I point it at anyone nor did I show it,” he had stated in the message addressed to the media.
