Delhi High Court stays sentence order of special CBI court to Madhu Koda

Delhi High Court has stayed the Special CBI trial court order which awarded 3-year jail term to former Jharkhand CM Madhu Koda in a coal scam case. Court also stayed the fine imposed on him till the next date of hearing.

Former Jharkhand CM Madhu Koda was awarded three-year jail term by a special court in a coal scam case.

Special Judge Bharat Parashar also sent Koda’s close aide Vijay Joshi, former Coal Secretary H.C. Gupta, Jharkhand’s then Chief Secretary A.K. Basu, behind bars for three years.

Along with the jail term, the court also imposed a total fine of Rs 25 lakh each on Koda and Joshi. It also imposed Rs 1 lakh fine each on Gupta and Basu.
