The Special Cell of Delhi Police conducted raids following intelligence information on suspected terror plot, at least 12 suspected members of the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror outfit were detained.
The police also recovered IEDs during the raids. According to reports, the special cell of the Delhi Police conducted raids in south-west Delhi and near the capital, after receiving intelligence information about a terror plot.
“Bomb making materials were seized from the 12 suspected JeM Terrorists. They are presently being questioned by police,” a source said.
Eight of the 12 suspects were held in Delhi, while four were detained from four from Deoband in Uttar Pradesh.
The Jaish-e-Mohammad has been accused of plotting the Pathankot terror attack at an Indian Air Force base on January 2.
