The civil services examination results were announced today with Delhi-based girl Tina Dabi topping the tough test. The results were declared on the official website of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) .
Tina graduated in political science from Lady Shri Ram College and completed Class 12th from Convent Of Jesus & Mary in New Delhi.
Tina Dabi, who topped Civil Services exam said she want to be a role model for girls aspiring to clear UPSC at first attempt.
Patience, focus,discipline and family support worked in my favour and also added that I chose Indian Administrative Service and Haryana cadre as I found it very challenging.
A total of 1,078 candidates cleared the UPSC exam — 499 from the general category, 314 from the other backward classes, 176 from the scheduled castes and 89 from the scheduled tribes. Dabi topped the test, followed by Jammu and Kashmir’s Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan and Delhi’s Jasmeet Singh Sandhu.
The commission said it was maintaining a reserve list of 172 candidates. The results are based on scores in a written examination held in December 2015 and interviews conducted in March-May 2016.
