New Delhi, Aug 28: The ashes of former Prime Minister and BJP stalwart Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be immersed in the Yamuna river in Delhi on Tuesday.
State BJP President Manoj Tiwari will immerse the ashes.
Last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and other senior leaders including BJP Chief Amit Shah distributed urns carrying ashes of late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to party presidents of all state units.
Vajpayee died on August 16 and he was cremated on the next day with full state honour at Smriti Sthal in the national capital.
Late Prime Minister’s foster daughter and grand-daughter collected his ashes from the Smriti Sthal and immersed it in Ganga river in Haridwar on August 19.
