Deepika Padukone’s father’s Letter is now a Chapter in Textbooks

New Delhi, Aug 8: Deepika Padukone touched everyone’s hearts when she read the heartfelt letter by her father at an award function last year. The actress read the letter as an acceptance speech on receiving the Best Actress award for her performance in Piku.

Since the film was about a father – daughter relationship, she shared a letter written to her and her sister Anisha by father Prakash Padukone.

This letter had moved most people present at the award ceremony. The emotional letter is now a part of text books. Yes. You heard it right. A fan enthusiastically posted a few pics of the letter he found in his brother’s text book.






Fan made the actress aware of a chapter being dedicated to the letter she once read out at an award function. Listed under the topic Letters from a father, the letter has found a place in the 12th Standard Gujrat Board’s syllabus.

The fan wrote, “There’s a whole chapter on @padukoneprakash’s letter to @deepikapadukone and @anishapadukone in my brother’s Textbook! ” Deepika Padukone was clearly surprised as she replied to the fan saying, “WOW!!!”

On the work front, Deepika Padukone will be next seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati. The magnum opus is based on the popular Indian folklore of Rani Padmini of Chittor and her johar. Deepika will be seen playing the titular role. Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh play the male leads in the film.
