September 10, 2016: On the day 5 of ‘Kisan Mahayatra,’ Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi received a grand welcome from the locals of Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. He began the day from Akbarpur, Ambedkar Nagar and head towards Jaunpur.
The Congress VP visited Shahganj Public Inter College, followed by his 25 day incessant Road Show where huge crowd gathered to interact with Gandhi.

The great response at the road show paves a way the for party in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls. His ‘Mahayatra’ will cover 39 districts spread over 80 Lok Sabha constituencies.
Talking to farmers, earlier Gandhi reminded them of the loans waived off during the UPA government and how the Modi government has failed to keep their promises.
“They won elections in Delhi and started their work. They made big promises like payment of 15 lakhs, employment to youth. But, when will the 15 lakhs be sent? When will the youth get employment? They talked about bullet train but increased the fares of trains”, said Rahul.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi will halt his month-long mahayatra in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh for Eid on September 12 and 13 and recommence his march from September 14.
