New Delhi, Dec 5: A Central Bureau of Investigation Special Court on Wednesday sent alleged middleman in Agusta Westland deal Christian Michel to five-day CBI custody.
Special Judge Arvind Kumar allowed the probe agency to interrogate the middleman till December 10.
Michel has also moved a bail plea. In this regard, the court kept this bail plea pending for next hearing and remanded him to 5-day CBI custody.
The Court also allowed his counsel one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening for consultancy.
During the hearing, probe agency told the court “the investigation is going on, we need his (#ChristianMichel) custody as money was transferred in two Dubai based accounts.”
The probe agency Counsel Advocate DP Singh said that “We need his (Christian Michel) police custody to confront him with some important.
Senior Advocate Aljo K Joseph appeared for Michel.
According to CBI sources, the alleged Agusta Westland case middleman, complained of anxiety following which he was given medicine.
Michel was presented before the court after he was extradited to India last night from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). A CBI team escorted him to India in a special plane.
