Fourth Coronavirus Wave In Delhi: City Records 19,486 New COVID-19 Cases And 141 Deaths In 24 Hours

The fourth wave of coronavirus has hit the national capital — New Delhi, the city recorded the highest spike of the year with 19,486 new COVID cases and 141 deaths in 24 hours.

As Delhi is currently reeling under the fourth wave of a novel coronavirus, the health department officials on Friday said that the city recorded 19,486 fresh COVID-19 cases with a sharp rise in the positivity rate to over 20 per cent, and 141 fatalities in just 24 hours.

Delhi’s positivity rate was 19.69 per cent. 12,649 Covid patients were discharged in the last 24 hours. Nearly 99,000 coronavirus tests were conducted in the city during the period.

The total number of cases to 8,03,623 and death toll to 11,793

Active cases: 61,005

Recovered cases: 7,30,825
