Congress likely to raise Raipur Church attack and EPF issue in Lok Sabha today.

On Sunday, a church in Khamardih area of Raipur in Chhattisgarh was vandalised by a group of 15-20 unidentified men. People who were present inside the church were attacked and thrashed, leaving five of them injured. So far 9 people has been arrested within a hour.

Whereas, Congress also wants central government to clear their stand on the issue of tax on Employee’s Provident Fund withdrawals.

On the otherhand, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is likely to announce rollback of his Budget announcement to levy tax on 60% of EPF withdrawal. The proposal had attracted strong criticism from the salaried class, forcing Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene and ask Jaitley to put the proposal on hold.
