New Delhi, Jan 23: Amid overcoming the unrest in Samajwadi Party and after forming an alliance with Congress, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is all set to campaign for the upcoming election in Uttar Pradesh.
It has come out that Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav will together hold 14 joint public meetings or rallies in the poll-bound state.
After a long distress, Akhilesh Yadav plans to initiate his political campaign from 24 January by organizing a rally in Sultanpur.
Earlier on Sunday, Samajwadi Party and Congress sealed their alliance for the Uttar Pradesh polls. A formal announcement in this regard was made at a joint press conference of the leaders of both the parties in Lucknow.
However, Congress party will fight UP elections on 105 seats and Samajwadi Party has 298 seats in its hands. Uttar Pradesh is set to have a seven-phase polling between February 11 and March 8.
