New Delhi, April 2: Former Union Minister P Chidambaram on Tuesday said that the Congress party set ambitious goals, but these are achievable with the wise government.
“The Congress Manifesto aims to greater distributed justice. We will provide a wise and competent government”, Chidambaram, said while addressing a press confrence along with Jairam Ramesh and RS Surjewala.
“The promises in the Congress Manifesto are a five-year program”, he added.
“India will be stronger and our economy will be stronger and polity will be stronger and poverty will be considerably reduced at the end of five years”.
“We have promised that farm loan waiver is the first step. But we want to move from karz maafi (loan waiver) to karz-mukti (loan-free)”, Ramesh stated.
The Congress on Tuesday realeased manifesto –”Jan Aawaz Ghoshna Patra”, with five main objective- NYAY (Nyuntam Aay Yojana) scheme, employment to youth by filling 22 lakh government vacancies, guaranteeing jobs for 150 days under MGNREGA instead of 100 days, 6 per cent GDP will be used in education.
