Bhopal, Nov 10: The Congress on Saturday released a manifesto for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee President Kamal Nath, Senior Congress leaders Jyotiraditya Scindia, Priyanka Chaturvedi, Digvijay Singh and others were present at the occasion.
A 112-page manifesto addresses the issues related to farmer loans, employment, women security, SC-STs, business, among others.
“We will reduce the electricity bill of farmers by 50%, reduce diesel and petrol prices and open ‘Gaushalas’ in every Gram Panchayat among other things mentioned in our election manifesto”, said Kamal Nath.
He further added “We will form a commission, which will not be political in nature. This commission will have journalists, seasoned lawyers will be a part of this”.
Here are some of the promises made by the Congress in the manifesto- Farmers’ electricity bills will be halved, Concession on fuel prices, Homeless will be given grants up to Rs. 2.5 lakhs, More emphasis on Made in Madhya Pradesh.
