Congress MLAs Anand Singh, Pratap Gouda takes oath as MLA in Karnataka Assembly

Bengaluru, May 19: Ahead of crucial floor test, Two Congress MLAs Anand Singh and Pratap Gowda Patil, who were said to be missing, took oath as an MLA in Karnataka’s Vidhana Soudha on Saturday.

The legislators, who had been incommunicado for a while and not turned up for the oath-taking ceremony earlier in a day, have been found at the Goldfinch hotel in Bengaluru.

Additional Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh along with his team conducted searches in the Hotel.

BJP MLA G Somashekhar Reddy is with the two ‘missing’ Congress MLAs Anand Singh and Pratap Gouda, news agency ANI reported citing sources.

Congress leader VS Ugrappa stated “he (BJP’s BY Vijayendra) called the wife of a Congress MLA and asked her to request to her husband to vote for Yeddyurappa. He said we’ll give your husband a ministry or else we’ll give Rs. 15 crore to your husband”.

Meanwhile, the Congress released an audio tape, claiming Yeddyurappa offered bribe to MLA BC Patil.

“Don’t go to Kochi, come back. We’ll make you a Minister and help you in whatever way you want.”
This audio recording of BS Yeddyurappa trying to lure Congress MLA goes on to prove, that Yeddyurappa is working hard to live up to his reputation of being corrupt and devoid of ethics, the Congress tweeted.

Yesterday also, the Congress had posted an audio clip on its official Twitter page claiming BJP’s Janardhana Reddy’s offered to Congress MLA exposes the depths to which the BJP can sink for power.

This comes amid allegations of poaching and horse-trading by the BJP to prove majority in Karnataka Assembly during crucial floor test.
