Rajnath Singh stated Gujarat Police was already informed about Gandhi’s visit two days before he traveled to the state.

“Rahul Gandhi is under SPG protection. The state police had made adequate arrangement for the visit. He was even provided a bullet-proof car. But he opted for a non-bullet proof vehicle. He should have listened to the advice of security personnel. But he did not,” he asserted.

Referring to recent foreign tours of Gandhi, Singh stated “In the last two years, Rahul Gandhi was out for 72 days on 6 foreign tours, but didn’t take SPG cover.”
