CM Vijay Rupani files nomination for Gujarat Assembly Elections

Ahmadabad, Nov 20: Gujarat Chief Minister  Vijay Rupani on Monday filed nomination for state assembly elections in the presence of Union Minister Arun Jaitley in Rajkot.

The last date of filing of nomination forms for the first phase of Gujarat election is tomorrow.

The high-stakes Gujarat Assembly election is scheduled to be held on two phases on December 9 and 14.  Eighty-four seats of Saurashtra and South Gujarat region are going to polls in the first phase.

Earlier in a day, the BJP released its third list of 28 candidates.

So far the party has named 134 candidates for elections to the 182-member Gujarat Assembly.
