Clear Tuesday morning but rain likely

New Delhi, May 9: It was a clear and sunny morning here on Tuesday. The weather office predicted rains and thunderstorms later during the day.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 28 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season’s average, the Met office said.

The Indian Meteorological Department’s Safdarjung observatory said that the sky would become partly cloudy. “Rains, thunderstorms and dust storms are likely to occur,” an IMD official told IANS.

On Monday, the maximum temperature settled at 42.8 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season’s average and the minimum temperature was 27.6, three notches above the season’s average.
