Just ten days have passed when the chemistry’s question paper was leaked and now the controversy continues as the II year pre-university (PU) chemistry question paper has been leaked again for the second time in Bengaluru.
The II PU chemistry re-exam was slated to be on Thursday from 9am, but due to leakage of question paper, the Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE) has cancelled the exam.
Earlier, the chemistry exam was scheduled on March 21, but it was cancelled after the question paper was leaked few hours before the commencement of exams on the same day. A Student has informed the director of DPUE via Whatsapp about the leakage of question paper. DPUE lodged a police complaint and also CID is investigating to find out the source of the leakage of question paper.
Pallavi Akurthi, director of DPUE said that, police informed her about the leakage of chemistry re-exam’s question paper around 3 am today by sending three sets of hand written question papers through Whatsapp, of which one question paper matched with the original question paper.
She said “Unfortunately question paper has leaked for the second time. We will announce the new dates to conduct chemistry re-exam without any glitches soon.”
Over 1.7 lakhs who were supposed to give the re-exam in 975 exam centres are really disappointed with the incident. Annoyed students and their parents launched protests at various places in the state demanding the resignation of state’s education minister.
