Children’s Day 2017: 10 famous quotes by Jawaharlal Nehru

New Delhi, Nov 14: A day to bring the child in you alive is all here, which marks the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India.

Born on November 14, 1889, he was commonly known as Chacha Nehru among the Children.

Because of Nehru’s immense love for little kids, his birth date began to be commemorated as National Children’s Day or Bal Diwas across the country. Whole day in Schools and educational institutions goes in celebrating the occasion.

Pandit Nehru always took the initiative for absolute education and guidance for children.

On this special day, here we have enlisted Chacha Nehru’s stirring quotes :

It is a fundamental rule of human life, that if the approach is good, the response is good.

The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we bring them up will determine the future of the country.

Loyal and efficient work in a great cause, even though it may not be immediately recognized, ultimately bears fruit.

The best and noblest gifts of humanity cannot be the monopoly of a particular race or country; its scope may not be limited nor may it be regarded as the miser’s hoard buried underground.

What we really are matters more than what other people think of us.

As they grow up, unfortunately, their natural freedom is often eclipsed by teaching and behavior of elders. At school, they learn many things, which are no doubt useful, but they gradually forget that essential thing to be human and kind, playful and make life richer for ourselves and others.

I may not have time for adults, but I have enough time for children.

We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures that we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.
Life is like a game of cards. The hand you are dealt is determinism; the way you play it is free will.

Facts are facts and will not disappear on account of your likes.

New Delhi, June 18: While hitting back at critics for demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘s statement on  Gauri Lankesh’s murder , Sri Ram Sene founder-president Pramod Muthalik triggered a controversy by comparing slain journalist killing to a dog’s death.

The opposition has been questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘silence’ over Lankesh’s killing.

Pramod Muthalik said, “Two murders took place in Karnataka and two in Maharashtra in Congress rule. No one questioned Congress govt failure. Instead, they are asking why is PM Modi silent and not speaking on Gauri Lankesh’s death. Is Modi responsible even if any dog dies in Karnataka”.

According to reports the 26-year-old Parshuram Vaghmare is said to have told the SIT that he did not know who he was killing when he pulled the trigger on Lankesh. He, however, reportedly claimed that he committed the murder to “save” his religion.

Muthaik’s statement came a day after the Special Investigation Team (SIT) summoned Rakesh Math, the Vijayapura district president of the Sene, for questioning in the case.

Muthalik later defended from his statement, saying he didn’t directly compare Lankesh to a dog, and that he was clarifying that PM Modi cannot comment on every death in Karnataka.

Congress spokesman Manish Tewari slammed Muthalik for his comments on

“Disgusting, nauseating, revolting…vigilante group Sri Ram Sene’s Head Pramod Muthalik compares assassinated journalist Gauri Lankesh to a dog. Mr Prime Minister @narendramodi you did not condemn Gauri Lankesh’s murder are you now going to condone this too,” tweeted Tewari.

He further said added that Parshuram Vaghmare, who allegedly pulled the trigger on the veteran journalist, was not associated with his organisation.

Lankesh, 55, the Editor of ‘Lankesh Patrike’, was shot dead outside her residence in the city’s suburb by unidentified assailants on September 5 last year.
