Chikungunya stings Delhi; CM, LG, Dpty CM, HM missing

New Delhi,13 September 2016 : Delhi rose to its worst nightmare when the first death from Chikungunya was reported on Tuesday morning, followed by 3 more fatalities and 1360 positive cases the mosquito-borne disease. While AAM AADMI Delhi Chief Minster who is out for throat surgery, could not do better than to tweet his “helplessness” and “blame LG and Modi” for Delhi’s health report.

The people of Delhi are left to face their fate as all the concerned Minsters, including deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, LG Najeeb Jung andHealth Minster are not in Delhi. While Sisodia is in Finland for an education programme, Satyender Jain

The only AAP minister who was in Delhi could say, BJP dominates Municipal Corporation of Delhi, so they are responsible. Also where Mayor has disappeared as he shares the responsibility.

He said: The MCD is responsible for fogging to keep mosquitoes away. However, Health Minister Satyender Jain is constantly keeping track of updates on the Delhi health situation. He will be back in the capital today.

While Opposition has raised a flak against Kejriwal and asked CM, why he and his ministers are absent at this crucial time. Delhi ex CM Shiela Dixit has also said: It is the government’s responsibility to take preemptive steps before people get sick.

This monsoon, Delhi is stung by three major mosquito-borne diseases. The municipal corporation data shows dengue, chikungunya and malaria have affected 1158, 1,057 and 21 people, respectively.
