Chief Secretary ‘assault’ case: Delhi Police say discrepancy in CCTV timing found at Kejriwal’s home

New Delhi, Feb 26: The Delhi Police, probing the alleged assault case of Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash by two Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs, on Monday said that the CCTV footage obtained from Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s home might have been tampered with as there are some discrepancies found in the timing.

A sessions court, hearing the bail plea of jailed MLA Prakash Jarwal, was informed that the arrival of Chief Secretary at CM’s residence was different from the CCTV timings.

The footage has been sent for forensic examination, police said.

Additional DCP Harendra Singh told the court that the meeting was not held in the camp office but in a drawing room of CM residence.

Following this, the court reserved the order on bail for Tuesday.

Last week, Chief Secretary Prakash alleged that he was beaten up by AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan and another AAP MLA on February 19 night in the presence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at the CM’s residence here, where he had been called for a meeting.

AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal were arrested by Delhi police in connection with an alleged assault.
