Chhattisgarh: Villagers to boycott Lok Sabha Elections 2019

Jashpur, April 16: The residents of Dokada village in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh have decided to boycott the Lok Sabha elections due to lack of road and water facilities.

The villagers have put up a banner announcing their intent to skip polls slated in their area on April 23 in protest.

“No Road, No Vote. We will not go to cast our vote till our demand of road development in the village is fulfilled”, news agency ANI qouted locals as saying.

The village is part of the Kunkuri assembly segment and Raigarh (ST) Lok Sabha constituency.
