Chhattisgarh : Two security officials injured in IED blast


June 25, Sunday : Two security officials were wounded in an IED blast on Sunday in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district.

The explosion was carried out by naxals near forests under Tarrem police station, reported news agency PTI. The joint team of security forces was attacked while returning from an anti-maoist operation.

The blast took place when the security forces belonging to CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action), DRG and district force were cordoning off a forest patch in the interiors of  Tarrem and Basaguda area.

Among the injured personnel One has been identified as Badal Murmu of CRPF’s elite wing – CoBRA – and while another  is district police assistant constable Roshan Kumar.
