Chhattisgarh CM calls for emergency meeting following Naxal attack

Raipur, April 24: Following a cold blooded attack on Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) by Naxals in the state’s Sukma district which took toll on 11 Jawans, Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister Raman Singh has called for an emergency meeting of senior civil and law enforcement officials.  

The attack took place on personnel of the 74th Battalion of the CRPF while they were assisting the local population in road building activity in the district.

Six more CRPF Jawans are injured in the encounter with the rebels and are airlifted by helicopter to a medical facility for emergency treatment. They are said to be in critical condition.
