A CRPF personnel killed his four colleagues after a fight break out between them on Saturday in Maoist- affected area of India’s Bastar.
All of the CRPF personnels from Para-military’s 168th battalion were appointed in tribal Bastar region of Chhatisgarh. Confirming the incident Inspector General of police (Bastar range) Vivekanand Sinha told “Senior police officials, including the superintendent of police, have left for the camp where the constable allegedly opened fire after an altercation with his senior colleagues.”

The deceased has been identified as sub-inspectors V K sharma, Megh Singh and RaJvir Singh and constable G K Rao. Constable Gajanand sustained injuries.
CRPF spokesman Dinakaran Moses told TOI that four personnel were killed and one was injured after a jawan, identified as Sanat Kumar opened fire with his AK-47 after a scuffle with his colleagues.
He said four of them succumbed to their injuries while the critically hurt constable was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Constable Sanat Kumar has been taken into custody and will face further action. The CRPF has also ordered an internal inquiry into the circumstances that led to the incident.
