Centre’s plea in SC to return undisputed Ayodhya land to Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas

New Delhi, Jan 29: The Centre on Tuesday moved the Supreme Court seeking its nod for giving a part of the 67 acres of undisputed land to the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas and other original owners.

In its application, the Centre has sought modification of the Supreme Court’s orders in 2003 and 2011 by which a complete status quo was imposed on entire 67.7 acre of the land acquired by the government in 1993.

The Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas, which has right over 42 acres of this 67 acres, had moved the government seeking return of those 42 acres
