Centre compulsorily retires 15 senior CBIC officials for misconduct

Last week the government dismissed 12 senior income tax officers, including one of the ranks of the joint commissioner, on charges of corruption and professional misconduct.

NEW DELHI: After dismissing 12 senior Income Tax officers, the Modi govt has now sacked 16 senior officials from the customs department.

As per news wire agency ANI, some of the dismissed officials include the ranks of Principal Commissioner, Commissioner, Additional Commissioner, & Deputy Commissioner of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).

Last week the government dismissed 12 senior income tax officers, including one of the ranks of the joint commissioner, on charges of corruption and professional misconduct. Following that media reports claimed that more such dismissals are on the cards.
