Centre calls opposition meet on Sikkim standoff

New Delhi, July 13: The central government has called opposition party  leaders meeting on Friday to discuss over the military stand-off with China in the Sikkim sector.

As per the Sources, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has personally called several opposition parties leaders, urging them to attend the deliberation on this sensitive issue between two the countries.

The top leaders meeting is expected to held at Home Minister Rajnath Singh residence.

The meeting comes ahead of Parliament’s monsoon which is slated to begin from July 17.

Since last month India and China is witnessing dispute in Sikkim sector. Recently Chinese state media also warned India to withdraw its troops from  Doklam area otherwise it may help Pakistan over Kashmir issue.

However, the Chinese state media has published a numerous critical articles related to ongoing border stand-off criticising India, but this was the first time it mentioned about the Kashmir valley, which is disputed issue between India and Pakistan.
