CBSE 12th Results 2019: Hansika Shukla, Karishma Arora secure top rank


New Delhi, May 2: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the class 12th result 2019 on Thursday afternoon.

With 499 marks out of 500, Hansika Shukla of Delhi Public School (DPS) Meerut road Ghaziabad and Karishma Arora of SD Public school muzaffarnagar have topped the board examinations.

While three girls- Gaurangi Chawla of Nirmal Ashram school ,Rishikesh Aishwarya of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Rai Bareilly and Bhavya of BR SK International Public School Jind Haryana, who have scored 498 out of 500 , attained second rank.

At third position, there are 18 students with 497 out of 500 marks.

A total of 3114831 students were registered, among which 12, 87, 359 had appeared for examinations.

This year, the overall pass percentage for the CBSE Class 12 exams stood at 83.4 per cent.

Trivandrum emerged as Top performing region with pass percentage of 98.2%.

In Chennai region the pass percentage is 92.93% and in Delhi region the pass percentage is 91.87%.
