The humanity turns to animalism when the caretaker who works for the welfare of orphans becomes the tormentors. A group of children at a state-run orphanage in Telangana were tortured and burnt with scalding hot spoons by workers of orphanage.
The incident came in light as the hienous moments were captured in the CCTV camera. On SundayKarimnagar Project director Mohan Reddy said, some social workers revealed this matter.”The staff denied any knowledge of how the injuries happened but CCTV footage revealed the truth. Serious action will be taken,” said Mohan Reddy, a senior officer in charge of the administration in Karimnagar.
Earlier, the social workers who visited the orphanage reported the matter. Seven children are below than five years. They were “punished” on Friday evening for not eating food, said staffers.
As of now, none of them have been held so far. One of the children named Geeta, aged five, who still has big blisters on her hand, said she was the first who was punished for “troubling” her supervisors.
