Sidhu again reiterated to the media that he is not in politics or Punjab polls only for career reasons, but he feels for the Punjab which is presently facing a debt of Rs 1, 86, 000 crore because of the ruling party’s unattentiveness.

“I have no personal agenda. Just want Punjab youth to get direction and Punjab to be what it was after the green revolution,” he said.

Meanwhile, Amarinder said: “I will defeat Badal (Parkash Badal) for sure, I am here to beat him.”

All he (Arvind Kejriwal) has done in his life to achieve something is throw a shoe at the Finance Minister, he added.

The Punjab Congress president yesterday filed his nomination papers from the Patiala constituency for the February 4 state assembly election. Accompanied by his wife and the present Patiala MLA Preneet Kaur and other family members he went to the office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate and filed his nomination papers.
