Canadian PM and family visits Sabarmati Ashram, Akshardham Temple in Gujarat

Canadian Prime minister Justin Trudeau on Monday visited the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad. The Canadian Prime minister was accompanied by his wife Sophie and children Xavier, Hadrien and Ella-Grace.

Here he wrote in the visitors’ book that it was “a beautiful place of peace, humility and truth, that is as needed today as it ever was.”

They paid homage to the leader of non-violence Mahatma Gandhi. Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie also weaved on Charkha while their children watch them curiously.

The Canadian Prime minister also visited the Akshardham Temple in Gandhi Nagar with his family.

However, there are several reports doing round in Canadian press that Justin Trudeau got snubbed by Indian Government as the Indian Prime minister, Narendra Modi who usually break protocol to receive International leaders did not give such warm welcome to Justin Trudeau.
